Murud - Janjira
Just 165 kms from Mumbai you will find Murud.
Famous for its alluring beach, unending coconut and
palmgroves, and a fascinating fort. The three
centuries-old fort of Janjira, once considered
impregnable, is a marvellous piece of architecture.
Mandwa - Kihim
120 kms from Mumbai lies a secret very few share.
The quaint little village of Mandwa with its pristine
beach that overwhelms you with its tranquility.
Further down lies a virtual treasure-trove for the
avid nature lover : Kihim beach. Deep woods, wild,
and rare flowers, equally uncommon species of
butterflies and a variety of birds.
Panchgani
After nearly six hours out of Mumbai you will come
across a quaint town that could be easily mistaken
for a British settlement. Panchgani. It is the
quintessential hill station. Offering pleasant weather
between September and March, picturesque nature
walks, local shopping opportunities and lots of vivid
architecture.
